Richard is our clinical dental technician and works directly with our patients who require dentures at the practice. There are several stages involved when making dentures for patients to ensure the very best look and fit, which involve treatment with the dentist at the surgery and then further work on the dentures by a dental technician working at a dental laboratory.

Our patients have the facility to undergo treatment directly with Richard at the practice, and generally this can mean a denture of better quality and fit, as well as a reduction in some of the common problems people experience wearing dentures can face. It also means the person actually making your denture can see what they look and feel like in your mouth, whilst it is being constructed and eventually fitted.

Richard is a trained and qualified clinical dental technician and trained at the Central College in Nottingham earning a Diploma in Dental Technology. After working and running his own successful prosthetic dental laboratory in Melbourne, Derby, Richard graduated from the KSS Deanery in London and the Royal College of Surgeons of England earning a Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology.

Richard is married and enjoys martial arts – having 2 black belts in both karate and kickboxing and currently works Thursday mornings with us.
