Gemma has been with us at the practice since we opened in 2016. Some of you may have seen her working on reception or in surgery with Jatinder as she is also a qualified Dental Nurse.
After many years being a dental nurse Gemma decided she wanted delve into dentistry more and become more hands on therefore went on to pursue further education and went on to study at the University of Sheffield. Gemma has now qualified in Dental Hygiene and Therapy and has embarked on a career based on years of experience in the profession.
Gemma has gained experience in treating adults, children and very nervous patients. She spent 8 years prior to University working in the Head and Neck Department at the Royal Derby Hospital. Here she gained experience/knowledge in Orthodontics, Oncology and Oral Surgery.
Gemma is extremely passionate about promoting good oral health with our patients. She is very keen to share tips and advice to ensure good oral hygiene is achieved for all.
In her spare time, she enjoys going on holiday and lives at home with her fiancé Tom, daughter Ruby and 2 cats Ronnie and Reggie.
