WHY CHOOSE IDENTURES?

Why Choose Dentures?

Discover why Invisalign clear aligners are the preferred choice for straightening teeth discreetly and achieving the smile you've always wanted.

Beauty

Restore Your Ability to Eat Comfortably

Missing teeth can make chewing difficult and limit the foods you can enjoy. Well-fitted dentures restore normal chewing function, allowing you to eat with confidence again.

Strength

A Natural-Looking Smile

Modern dentures are designed to closely replicate the appearance of natural teeth and gums — giving you a smile that looks balanced, proportionate, and completely convincing.

Safety

Support Facial Structure

Missing teeth can cause the face to appear sunken over time. Dentures provide the support needed to maintain facial contours and help preserve a natural, youthful appearance.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Dentures

How long does it take to get used to wearing dentures?

Most patients find the first few weeks require some adjustment — speaking and eating may feel slightly different initially, and there may be minor soreness as the gums adapt. This is completely normal and typically settles within a few weeks as your mouth becomes accustomed to the fit. Follow-up appointments allow us to make any adjustments needed during this period.

How long do dentures last?

With good care, dentures typically last between five and ten years. However, the shape of your gums and bone changes over time, which can affect the fit of your dentures. Regular dental check-ups allow us to monitor this and advise when a reline, adjustment, or replacement is needed to maintain comfort and function.

How should I clean and care for my dentures?

Remove your dentures daily and clean them using a soft brush and denture-specific cleaner — never toothpaste, which can scratch the surface. Rinse them after eating where possible and soak them overnight in water or a denture-soaking solution. Continue to clean your gums, tongue, and any remaining teeth with a soft toothbrush.

Can I sleep with my dentures in?

We generally advise removing your dentures overnight to give your gum tissue a chance to rest. Soaking them overnight also helps maintain their shape and cleanliness. Your dentist will give you personalised guidance on this at your fitting appointment.

What is the difference between full and partial dentures?

A full denture replaces all the teeth on either the upper or lower arch and rests on the gum. A partial denture replaces one or more missing teeth and is supported by the remaining natural teeth using clasps or precision attachments. Both are custom-made and designed to look as natural as possible. Your dentist will recommend the most appropriate option based on your individual situation.
